Brick wall being professionally cleaned with pressure washing

Our Services

Brick Cleaning

Removing years of staining, algae, and weathering to restore your brickwork to its original appearance — using the right method for the job, without damaging the masonry.

Why Brick Cleaning Matters

Over time, brickwork accumulates all manner of staining — algae, moss, efflorescence, pollution deposits, paint, and general weathering. Left untreated, these don't just look unsightly; some can actively damage the surface of the brick and accelerate deterioration.

The key to good brick cleaning is using the right method for the right problem. I assess each job individually — whether that's a low-pressure wash, a specialist chemical treatment, or a combination of both — to get the best result without causing any harm to the brickwork underneath.

What I Can Remove

Algae, Moss & Lichen

Biological growth that takes hold in damp, shaded areas. Left unchecked it retains moisture and can cause surface erosion over time.

Efflorescence

The white, powdery salt deposits that appear on the face of brickwork as moisture migrates through the wall. Unsightly but treatable.

Pollution & Soot Staining

Traffic pollution, smoke, and general urban grime that builds up on exposed elevations — particularly common on older properties and chimneys.

Paint & Graffiti

Paint removal from brickwork requires specialist products and patience. I use appropriate treatments to lift paint without etching or bleaching the brick face.

How I Work

01

Assessment

I visit the property personally to identify the type of staining, assess the condition of the brickwork, and determine the safest and most effective cleaning method.

02

Surface Preparation

Any loose material, vegetation, or debris is cleared before cleaning begins. Surrounding surfaces and planting are protected where necessary.

03

Cleaning

The appropriate method is applied — low-pressure washing, specialist chemical treatment, or a combination — working methodically to avoid saturating the wall or damaging the brick face.

04

Rinse & Review

The wall is thoroughly rinsed and I review the result with you before leaving. Any areas needing a second pass are treated before the job is signed off.
